Crack the champagne. Open the box of chockies. I’ve done it. Finally.
When I left Walker – more than a year ago! – I made a long list of all the things I was going to do, now that I was going to have all this extra time on my hands. (About four+ extra hours each day, in fact, because I no longer needed to commute all the way into Newtown.)
Very close to the top of that list (after SMELL THE ROSES and TAKE MANY LONG WALKS) was BUILD A NEW WEBSITE and BLOG REGULARLY. It turned out that even though I was working from home, I was still super busy and I barely had time to smell a single rose or go for many long walks, let alone think about blogging or website building. (This all came as a huge surprise to me.)
A year on, and I have finally got to point four and five on my when-I-am-freelancing to-do list and – ta-da! – here it is. My new website and my first blog post. (Hopefully the first of many posts, posted on, at the very least, a semi-regular basis.)
I think it is a little late for roses, but it is definitely time to go on a long walk and enjoy the autumn sunshine and bask in the miracle of actually finding time for websites and blogs.
